Kerry and Edwards fit the bill perfectly. Kerry has already made it known that he supports a strong US military; that he plans to mess around in Latin America; that he will continue on with Bush's madness in Afghanistan and Iraq (albeit, with international support, he hopes); that Sharon's Israel can do no wrong; that "homeland security" is a priority; that he favors "an independent intelligence capability that focuses explicitly on domestic intelligence," to better snoop and pry into our lives; and that he'll do all the right things to keep the corporate skids greased while throwing a few crumbs to the people”- Bev Conover Online Journal 07-09-04.

 

            As we watch developments unfold, do not forget there are individuals and groups manipulating world affairs, ideas and perceptions just like the old day con men manipulated the shells in the pick the pea game. You know the one  where they shuffled the shells and challenged you to pick the one that had the pea under it. If you were correct you won the pile of money folks were laying down to choose. The ruling oligarchy, the ones shuffling the shells and the pea of AmeriKKKan politics, foisted George W Bush upon the AmeriKKKan people even though on a popular vote tip; the people chose the shell thinking Al Gore was under it. After some hocus-pocus by the US Supreme Court they picked up the shell and viola, George W Bush is the one (pea). So George started off with half the people angry at him and his crew feeling, “we waz robbed”. Quiet as its kept we were. Alas it went down hill from there. Undaunted Bush and Co set about accomplishing their agenda, bum rushing the world’s energy, allowing their corrupt corporate buddies gauge and rip off the public ala Enron and Worldcom. Bush was only doing what he said they were going to do during the campaign, increase the military and military spending. Unfortunately for us, the media nor the Democrats stepped to them about it or called them on it despite the fact there was no need for increased military spending since the “Cold War” was over. 9-11 gave Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al the pretext they needed to launch a pre-emptive war on the world beginning in Afghanistan then moving to Iraq. Millions of people opposed Bush’s rush to war in Iraq although most were hoodwinked into going along with the War in Afghanistan due to the media facilitated revenge following 9-11,the anthrax scare and the out and out fear peddling and intimidation by the Bush camp. When Bush and Co attempted to push their invasion of Iraq they met massive public resistence but they launched the invasion anyhow with the help of a obliging media, compliant Congress and willing ally in British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

             As the scenario unfolded it has been documented Bush lied about WMD and Iraq being an immediate threat to AmeriKKKa or its neighbors. Now the AmeriKKKan CIA and British MI6  are being forced to be the patsies for supplying “faulty intelligence”. Bush’s blatant lies about WMD  the rising US casualties, the fatalities, the intensity of the rebellion and anti occupation struggle in Iraq and the prisoner scandals have soured all but the most hard core imperialists towards the Bush presidency. During the primary campaigns several Democratic challengers seized upon the anti war fervor and the disenchantment with Bush’s policies and called for a US pull out. The ruling elites manipulating the game said, “Oh hell no, we can’t have that.”  They went into their razzle dazzle and pulled John Kerry from under the shell. John F Kerry, Boson blue blood, Yale man, Skull and Bones, Bush lite was made the front runner. But he has too much baggage, he is upper crust and can’t relate to working folks’ realities,  he’s married to a super rich woman heir to the Heinz ketchup fortune, he is as exciting as oatmeal and he voted for all of Bushes policies!! So to further con the sheeple, the ruling oligarchy told Kerry to select John Edwards as his running mate. Edwards is from working class roots they need a man like him to help maintain the illusion a man from blue collar roots can become VP or president. Superficially Edwards is a better speaker and he brings an upbeat optimistic message and stands in stark contrast to Kerry. However like Kerry he too sided with the warmongers on Afghanistan and Iraq. (Of course now they can say “we voted for the war because we received ‘faulty intelligence’”. As the Democratic Party’s convention approaches, Kerry has manipulated the party platform to accommodate the agenda of the plutocracy. He will continue the Democratic Party’s past history of moving the party rightward, abandoning it’s traditional labor, civil rights, feminist and liberal constituencies to become Republican lite. There are already rumblings the progressive and anti war platforms have already been struck down. Kerry is no peacenik, he will not bring the troops home! The only thing differentiating Kerry from Bush is Kerry says he will seek more UN (which is heavily influenced by the US), NATO and international involvement and support formulating AmeriKKKan foreign policy. He will throw the masses some crumbs perhaps, passage of universal health care, tax reform etc but he will not reverse the outsourcing of AmeriKKKan jobs nor the continued colonization of Afghanistan and Iraq. Don’t go for the anybody but Bush okey-doke. Check out all challengers platform, look at their voting record and try to figure out how the plutocracy plans to use them in the future.
