“When reality begins to come home, Americans are the first to go into denial because Americans have been hypnotized into thinking that they are good. In 2003, President Bush spent a good deal of time in his State of the Union message to flatter Americans, telling them how good they were, just before they went into Iraq and blew the arms and legs off of children and anyone else who was in their way. There is nothing more dangerous to man as when he begins to believe he is great, or even good. When the scandal of Abu Ghraib broke, my first impression was, “Well, that seems par for the course. That seems normal for Americans.” But when all of the denial came from Washington, I was surprised and strangely interested at how Americans could possibly call this an aberration. This “aberration” IS America. Look at the movies that come out of Hollywood by the hundreds. Most of them are full of some kind of mayhem. Look at the video games that American children play with, everyday. I can go into any large American mall and the video arcades all look like Abu Ghraib. When I was growing up in order to encourage me to read my mother bought me some comic books and as I got older I continued buying and reading them, especially the DC action variety, Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern etc (I also purchased and read Classics Illustrated but that’s another story for another day) In the Superman comics the “Man of Steel” battled a nemesis called Bizzaro a sort of Frankenstein reflection of Superman who lived in a crazy world/dimension that was a fun house mirror like reflection of Earth. In this world up was down and good was evil and inanity reigned. The more I look at AmeriKKKa today I see a genuine Bizzaro world, an Alice in Wonderland place where up is down, madness is passed off as reality. Only in a place like this could a man like George W. Bush call himself “The War President” with a straight face despite the fact when he and his Vice President had the chance to serve in combat during the Vietnam War they both opted out. Bush skipped combat via the Texas Air National Guard where even with a cushy assignment he went AWOL for a year and a half and refused to take mandatory drug tests!!! Dick Cheney, hero that he is, got several draft deferments by having children. Fast forward to 2001 and in a surreal Bizzaro moment in 2001 Bush and Cheney are sending AmeriKKKan young men and women into battle to die because they lied about the WMDs in Iraq. How can anyone in their right mind claim to be a War President, when as the man responsible for our safety and security an event of the magnitude of 9-11 happened on his watch?! Not only did it happen it happened because of a complete and utter failure of the intelligence community, civilian and military comminutes to do their jobs, which is to protect AmeriKKKa. Guess what, the War President didn’t fire or demote or ask for the resignation of one person, not one!! As the Michael Moore movie Fahrenheit 9-11 depicts Bush, who markets himself as the decisive “War President” sat in a Florida school room on September 11th reading a book upside down (really this has been documented) about a pet goat and did absolutely nothing as his aide told him a second plane had crashed into the World Trade Center and AmeriKKKa is under attack. Is that bizarre or what? If it weren’t for the US media giving Bush a free pass from the day he announced his candidacy for the presidency and their culpability in the dummying down of the AmeriKKKan public; Bush would have been impeached or at least tarred and feathered a long time ago.
Today the US Senate Intelligence Committee released a bipartisan report that clearly states the US invasion and occupation of Iraq was based in faulty, flawed and false information!! This report takes the CIA to task for its failures to provide accurate information and for not double checking the so called “Intelligence” they got not only on Pre War Iraq but the truly Bizzaro World double speak of “Post War Iraq”. I use quotation marks around the phrase Post War Iraq because as I write this the resistence to US imperialism is expanding and US fatalities have reached over 1,000 men and women and the causalities continue to mount. The news media in concert with Bizzaro world inhabitants George W Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Kindasleezy Rice, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell and an assortment of Neo-Cons and Zionist zealots who have led this country into the muck, mire and moral morass of perpetual war are now feigning shock there was actually no evidence Iraq had any WMDs or Saddam Hussein posed an imminent threat to the US. Saddam Hussein posed an obvious threat to Israel’s imperialist expansion, but not to the US. The Intelligence Committee report does three major things, it undermines the Bush Cheney credibility by admitting once and for all there were no WMD in Iraq and gets all the elected officials who supported the invasion and war off the hook with their constituents. They can say, “I was lied to too, or I got bad data from the President.” Lastly, it sets the stage for an massive overhaul of the CIA and expansion of the AmeriKKKan Police State and its Secret Police. The talking head are already predicting the Senate report will call for sweeping changes in the Intelligence communities; you know the usual Beltway remedies: more money, bigger bureaucracy more power etc. Ironically these same public officials who will support this report because it gets their corrupt and cowardly behinds out of the fire, refused to amend or overturn the PATRIOT ACT a few days ago in Congress!! Mark my words, none of the presidential candidates will call for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq! They will recommend more funding for war and intelligence and AmeriKKKa will continue its descent into fascism and imperialism internationally and a polarized domestic police state at home. Unless of course the AmeriKKKan people do something to alter this course!
