    Real Peace

“If there is to be peace on earth and good will toward men we must finally believe in the ultimate morality of the universe and believe that all reality hinges on moral foundations.” Martin Luther King Jr.

As we approach the holiday season and the New Year let us contemplate the practical benefits of peace despite the fact we live in a world gone mad. For the past five hundred years Europeans have traveled the globe wrecking havoc, instigating antagonism, social disruption and wars resulting in a world order antithetical to the pre-existing paradigm before their arrival.  They have stepped up their program of global domination, to the point their New World Order is at hand, a configuration whereby they are no longer cannibalize each other maiming and killing one another over the wealth, resources and hegemony of non-European people; an new arrangement whereby an elite cabal through stealth, deceit and manipulation attempt to directly control the whole world. We have allowed their psychopathy to dictate the way the world operates. If we are ever to restore sanity and of necessity Maat (Divine Order, Truth, Balance, Harmony, Righteousness and Reciprocity)  we must begin at the very beginning, on the microcosm on the inside and work outwards. We must start with ourselves, recapturing and controlling our individual and collective minds, reordering and stabilizing our lives, marriages, families, community, nation then the world.  We must cultivate a leadership and community that places the value and love of African people above all else.

The real key to our enemies hegemony over us is their ability to program and control our minds, to dictate what we believe is possible or normal. They have convinced us Eurocentric power dynamics and the way they do things are the norm, the way things should be. We have been bamboozled to think global white supremacy is the only viable paradigm; that fragmentation, endless wars and fighting are the way the world is supposed to operate. What if we decided there was a more humane way to function? What if people of color decided peace of mind and harmonious relationships were more important than blindly following the orders of people whose whole cultural MO and history are one of invasion, predatory exploitation and conquest? What if we decided here and now to control our minds, emotions and elected not to consider or entertain self-negation or acquiescence as the only viable options? Peace, real peace is not the absence of tension, acrimony or hostility, rather it is a firmly established consciousness of love and connectedness, which in turn engenders feelings of harmony and an understanding all creation is sacred and sacrosanct. What if we cultivated a consciousness of purpose and unity as opposed to fear, alienation and estrangement?  Am I suggesting we blindly treat everyone as our brethren? No, we have to take our history into account. We must realize the best predictor of current and future relationships are past behavior because people are creatures of habit. Therefore we must acknowledge our enemies are unlikely to alter their habits on their own. At the same time we must acknowledge the only way for us to gain the strength, position and power to counter their oppression is by cultivating peace, unity and cohesiveness amongst ourselves, by learning to love ourselves, respect ourselves and working together to formulate a value system that does not promote crass materialism, exploitation, misogyny, self-negation and hatred.

Peace is a state of mind. It is not being naive or foolish, it means reconnecting to and tapping into our inner resources and strengths. It means developing our intuition, trusting our ancestors to guide and counsel us. It means rejecting outright the Eurocentric values of exploitation and predatory power relationships. We have to cultivate a mind set that recognizes the divine essence operating within each other and cultivates our innate gifts and aptitudes as opposed to conforming to someone else’s definition of us. Peace means understanding we are multi-faceted beings, living our lives in harmony and balance, mind body and spirit. Peace means cultivating total confidence in ourselves, our abilities, our struggle and the morality that undergirds the universe. This morality and ethical principles, our ancestors called Maat . It is a universal extension of the CREATOR. It is constantly working to establish and maintain righteousness. Once we realign ourselves with Maat we will experience internal and external peace and begin operating in the divine flow.  Realigning ourselves with Maat will empower us to transcend the current Eurocentric world order, restore peace and harmony on the microcosm (personally)  and as we reach critical mass restore it in the microcosm.
